Silk
Silk is a lovely, lustrous fibre to spin. The shimmering appearance of silk is due to the triangular prism-like structure of the silk fiber. The very long fibres make it easy for beginners and experienced spinners alike. There is little that compateres to the wonderful drape, sheen and hand of silk.
